Miami Commission Chairman Marc Sarnoff Announces Partnership with Camillus House for Massive Relief Effort to Haiti
-Camillus House Will Manage and Ensure 100% of Donations will Reach Earthquake Victims-

(Miami, FL)---Miami Commission Chairman Marc D. Sarnoff and Dr. Paul Ahr, President and CEO of Camillus House have established an emergency effort to aid the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Ten Pallets containing water, canned food, and supplies have already been collected and will be shipped within the next 48 hours. Camillus House has also set up a separate fund for monetary donations. All checks should be made out to Camillus House with the words Haitian Relief in the memo section and sent to 336 NW 5th Street, Miami, FL 33128.
Commissioner Sarnoff’s District 2 office is setting up a 40-ft container in front of City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive) for additional donations which will be delivered to Camillus House which is handling all shipments to Haiti. The City Hall container was donated by Mr. Ansemo Di Virgilio of La Baguette Bistro and Idea Furniture. “Ensuring that 100% of all donations reaches the victims in Haiti is our absolute priority. There is no better partner than Camillus House to direct this vital effort and guarantee operation is run efficiently and effectively. Nobody does this better than Camillus House,” says Commissioner Sarnoff.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and provide much needed assistance to the victims of this horrific disaster,” says Dr. Paul Ahr. “The Brothers of The Good Shepherd run an orphanage in Haiti and we have great experience ensuring supplies to Haiti are delivered properly and reach those in need.”
