Grapeland Water Park Trades Cans for Waves

(Miami, FL) - On the weekend of November 21, 2009, patrons at Grapeland Water Park, 1550 NW 37 Avenue, can use donated canned goods as a way to receive a discount admission into the park. Canned goods are being collected for the Miami Homeless Assistance Program to help make sure that all city residents experience a happy Thanksgiving.

Adults who bring three canned goods can enter the water park for the $5 admission price for a child. Children who bring one canned good, will receive $1 off the price of admission. Staff will be accepting donated canned items from 10am thru 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday and will deliver all of the collected goods to the Miami Homeless Assistance Program in time for Thanksgiving.

Grapeland Water Park offers four pools for family enjoyment including two slide pools, one heated recreation pool and a lazy river. While it may be winter time, Miami residents have the luxury of enjoying water activities year round. For more information on the food drive and the water park call (305) 960-2951.
