Bike Miami Days Returns

-Free Fun for the Whole Family in Downtown Miami-

(Miami, FL) –Join Mayor Manny Diaz for the second Bike Miami Days, a free and family friendly event for cyclists, skaters and walkers to explore the city in a whole new way on Sunday, December 14 from 9 am to 3 pm. The first Bike Miami Day took place on November 9 and brought thousands of people to the heart of the city.

Bike Miami Days is an initiative by Mayor Diaz to promote bicycling, livable streets and our growing urban community in Downtown Miami. The event will close Flagler Street from the Courthouse to Bayfront Park, as well as South Miami Avenue from 10th Street (Mary Brickell Village) to SE 4th Street and then north on 1st Ave to Flagler for pedestrians, bicyclists and skaters. This way, the public can explore downtown in a fun, safe and completely free way.

Stores, restaurants, parks and cafés will be open for the public to enjoy. There will also be many free activities for the whole family. At Bayfront Park, leave your bike at the free bike valet (provided by the Green Mobility Network), enjoy a free yoga class at 10am, visit the Rock Garden or Children’s Playground, and more.

At Mary Brickell Village, there will be live music performed by local group, Oyaji. There will be an additional free bike valet service as well as a free Bike Clinic (provided by Sun Cycling)  where you can get your helmet fitted, your tires filled, and more.

At both Bayfront Park and Mary Brickell Village, the Everglades Bicycle Club will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for children and teens as part of their Annual Toy Drive.

Transportation/Parking
You can bring your bike on Public Transit! The Metromover is always free. The public is also encouraged to carpool and park in discounted parking at Mary Brickell Village ($3 all day) or in public parking lots.

Please see the map for parking locations.
