City of Miami Solid Waste to Conduct
Regular Trash, Recycling and Garbage
Pick-up during Thanksgiving Holiday, November 27th and November 28th


(Miami, Florida)—The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be conducting regularly-scheduled trash, garbage and recycling pick-up during Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2008. Those residents whose garbage, trash and recycling are always collected on Thursday or Friday should place their items out as they usually do. Residents with questions or concerns are encouraged to call 311.

The mini-dump will also be open on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2008. The city’s mini dump is located at 1290 NW 20th Street and is open daily from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., except Christmas and Martin Luther King holidays.

Residents are reminded to:
• Separate vegetation from other trash and bulky items to expedite the garbage pick up effort.

• Recycled items should be placed in the recyclable container in an accessible location. Please do not park in front of the garbage or place any other items around it.
