(Miami, FL) –Join Mayor of the City of Miami Manny Diaz for Bike Miami, a free and family friendly event for cyclists, skaters and walkers to explore the city in a whole new way on Sunday, November 9 from 10 am to 3 pm.

Bike Miami is an initiative by Mayor Diaz to promote bicycling, livable streets and the growing urban neighborhood of Downtown Miami. The event will close Flagler Street from the Courthouse to Bayfront Park, as well as South Miami Avenue from 10th Street ( Mary Brickell Village) to SE 4th Street and then north on 1st Ave to Flagler for pedestrians, bicyclists and skaters. Mayor Diaz will host a special rally at 11 am on the corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Flagler Street.

Stores, restaurants, parks and cafés will be open for the public to enjoy. There will also be many free activities for the whole family at Bayfront Park, including a free yoga class at 1 pm, bicycle safety workshops and The Moving Wall exhibition, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial.
